After an absence of one year, Design Shanghai 2023 was held at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre from June 8 to 11, 2012, with designers, brands and visitors from home and abroad to attend this 10th anniversary design event. During this time, Frank Chou Design Studio also exhibited and cooperated in different panels, from different dimensions of products and business formats, and continued to explore the expression of modern Chinese design that is in sync with the world.

 

FRANK CHOU COLLECTION released its new 2023 collections at Design Shanghai. Stand is a reinterpretation of the classic Bauhaus design. It adopts minimalist structure and the iconic glass table top. The main body of the frame is covered with wool fabric, which creates a natural visual difference between the warm and elastic texture and the smooth and cool glass surface. Through the transparent table top, which leaves a pop and blank effect, and colour table legs, seen through from the surface, which is stable and constant, it pursues the combining of virtual and reality. The sense of quantity from inside out and bottom up, as well as the extension of the virtual it supports, endowing the Stand with infinite tension and styling. Stand not only has the classic outline of the Bauhaus era, but also brings rich colour fabric texture with the time. At the same time, it is also a challenge to modern soft package technology. Page table lamp with sensor switch, waving a hand to light up, providing a more convenient use experience. Matte finish surface texture is low-profile and elegant, light diffuse reflection overflow, mild and not shaking eyes.

 

Page Table Lamp is composed of only three geometric metal pieces in the original form, slim and minimal. The smooth and natural curved surface of the top echoes the plane of the base, which is rich in the aesthetic meaning of oriental philosophy as a whole, organic and continuous, as well as a strong sense of modern composition. The non-redundant minimalist shape subconsciously eliminates the squeezing of the product itself to the scene, opening up its artistic imagery space and allowing individual lifestyles to actively participate in the construction of Page and become its real users.

 

During the exhibition, FRANK CHOU COLLECTION also showcased the Sketch series in collaboration with outdoor furniture brand LIVINTWIST, which is the first appearance of the Sketch series in China after the Milan exhibition.
